Almost all equipment on board is brand name equipment.
We designed the North Pacific 52 based on our 25 years of boating experience and the learned knowledge that all equipment must be accessible. Throughout the yacht this is evident because of the many, easy to get at, hatches. Where there is equipment that must be accessed there is a hatch or removeable panel.
Navigational electronics are not included in the base price. However, we will install Raymarine electronics at the factory.
The North Pacific 52 is powered by a single 490 hp QSC Cummins diesel. Larger engines for greater speed or smaller engines for more fuel efficiency are also available depending on your intended use of the yacht.
With the single engine configuration the propeller, shaft and rudder are fully protected taking a lot of the worry of watching for logs out while cruising in the Pacific Northwest or hitting the bottom on the ICW.
Standard equipment on the North Pacific 42 includes a bow thruster giving you the manueverability to make docking in any slip easy.
A stern thruster is optional equipment for those who like the manueverability of twins but the economy of a single engine.

The North Pacific 52 was designed so that accessing any wire or installing new wires or equipment is quick and easy. Good examples are the AC and DC electrical panels located in the pilothouse. They are hinged making access to the back of the panels easy. A generator located in the engine room, complete with a sound shield, muffler and water/gas separator, silently provides ample power for all of the electrical appliances on board while leaving those inside and out undisturbed. When generator power is unwanted an inverter/battery charger can provide enough AC power to run most of the 110V electrical equipment including microwaves, coffee makes, and toaster ovens. The high output inverter/charger means that the 4, 12V, 200 amp hour batteries are charged at the optimum rate while the generator is running or the boat is plugged into shore power. For those who require more electrical power for longer trips, extra optional batteries can be factory installed. An alternator is standard.
The walk in engine room is well appointed and very spacious. Accessed from through a door in the master stateroom or through a hatch on the salon floor, the engine room is easy to get around and to maintain all the equipment. The height of the engine room is about 4.5’ and there is more than 24” on each side of the Cummins QSC 490Hp engine. A single sea chest eliminates the need for multiple thru-hull fittings in the bottom of the hull by servicing the engine, generator, air-conditioning and seawater washdown. Fuel management is made easy by mounting the dual Racor fuel filters served by copper fuel lines on the forward bulkhead. In the aft part of the engine room is the standard 8KW Northern Lights generator. With its large muffler and water/gas separator it is almost not noticeable when it is running.
