The interior of the North Pacific features beautifully hand crafted teak, on the floors, walls and cabinets throughout.

Pilothouse:
The pilothouse is critically important to comfortable travel in bad conditions and was designed so the North Pacific 43’ could be piloted confidently with an unobstructed view. Halogen lights, light up a comfortable captain’s seat in front of a teak steering wheel with hydraulic steering. A bench seat for observers, helps to make long range cruising an enjoyable experience for everyone. Sliding doors on both sides of the pilothouse make access to the bow and fly bridge easy, and at the same time can provide a nice breeze while underway. Morse dual cable engine controls, engine gauges, bow thruster control, windlass control, fuel gauges, water level gauge, horn and electronics of your choice will be set in the black background trimmed with teak; making an impressive control center for the yacht.

Salon:
From the beginning of the North Pacific 43’ project it was emphasized how important it is to have a spacious salon, as so much time is spent there and we worked hard to achieve this. By making the walkway to the bow from the stern above the salon we were able to build the salon walls nearly to the edge of the hull, maximizing the useful living space, while not loosing the ability to get around the boat. The salon is very open with no hanging cabinets dividing the galley, and most importantly, the cook from the rest of the salon. Nine windows give lots of light and allow for a nice panoramic view. The salon is almost 11' long and 11'8" wide with a ceiling height of 6'5" making it equivalent to many 55' yachts.

On the starboard side there is a comfortable 8' long and 36" wide, "L" shaped settee. In seconds this settee is easily converted into a comfortable bed with a width of 47". There is storage space underneath the entire length of the settee, as well as a cabinet at the forward end for extra storage which also makes an ideal place to install an entertainment system. Across from the settee is a comfortable H shaped dinette. Together the dinette and settee provide a large amount of relaxation space in close proximity for entertaining guests, or simply enjoying a movie. The salon is well-lit with ample halogen lighting and reading lights in the corners. The light on the teak gives the salon a very warm, dry and comfortable feeling.

Well-lit Corian (or equivalent) countertops with raised edges surround the galley, forward of the dinette. There is a large amount of counter space for food preparation. A single stainless steel sink, adequate to fit a large pot, with a single handle American Standard faucet and pullout spout makes clean up easy. A Princess electric stove is standard equipment on the North Pacific 43; however, a gas stove is also available. With 3 burners and an oven, the stove provides a good cooking surface, and there is still sufficient room for many other appliances in the galley. There are four drawers, one large cabinet with two adjustable shelves, another large cabinet under the sink with two fixed shelves and a small cabinet above the stove for storing spices.

Forward Accommodations:
Down the stairs at the forward most part of the salon is a hall and access to the forward accommodations, which are designed to provide maximum space and comfort for guests and owners alike. The hall floor is composed of three removable hatches that allow for access to the 50GAL fiberglass holding tank, bilge pump, macerator pump, shower sump pump, sea/fresh water wash down pump and all of the pipes and hoses running fore and aft.

Master Stateroom:
The forward master stateroom is very spacious with a ceiling over 7' high. It features a large island bed with a comfortable 5", fabric covered foam mattress and two individual reading lights along with two halogen ceiling lights. There is a large storage space under the mattress, four drawers, and two hanging lockers.

Guest Stateroom:
On the port side is a spacious guest stateroom with a comfortable bed and two large drawers underneath. The bed is furnished with a 5" fabric covered foam mattress and two reading lights. A hanging locker on the forward wall and two bookshelves as well as two drawers under the bed provide storage. A vanity mirror with drawers underneath is standard (a cabinet is available instead of the mirror). The guest stateroom can also be furnished with two bunks or made into an office.

Head:
Across the hall from the guest stateroom on the starboard side is the head. The head is well-lit with two halogen lights, one in the separate shower stall, and one above the counter providing ample light. Set in the large marble (or Corian or equivalent) countertop is a stainless steel sink and a single handle chrome faucet. There is a cabinet above the sink and a cabinet below the countertop for storage of towels and toiletry. To the aft of the head is a fiberglass shower stall and molded in seat, separated by glass folding doors. Most importantly, the head is equipped with a reliable Vacuflush toilet.

Heat:
A diesel forced air heating system keeps the interior of the North Pacific 43' warm and comfortable all the time. There are vents in the forward staterooms, salon, head and pilothouse. A D5LC is standard for spring, summer and fall use. The D8LC is optional and should be considered for winter use. Diesel hydraunic heat is also available as well as reverse cycle heat/airconditioning units. See options.
