Almost all of the equipment on board is brand name equipment. .

Accessibility:
We designed the North Pacific 43 based on our 25 years of boating experience and the learned knowledge that all equipment must be accessible. Throughout the yacht this is evident because of the many, easy to get at, hatches. Where there is equipment that must be accessed there is a hatch or removeable panel.

Electronics:
Navigational electronics are not included in the base price of the North Pacific 43' Pilothouse. However, we will install Raymarine electronics at the factory.

Mechanical Equipment:
The North Pacific 43 is powered by a single 230 hp QSB Cummins diesel. Larger engines for greater speed or smaller engines for more fuel efficiency are also available depending on your intended use of the yacht. The 230 hp Cummins diesel is a good choice, pushing the yacht along at an 8-10 knot cruise with a fuel consumption of approximately 8-9 GPH. At 8 kts the fuel burn is 3.0 - 3.5 GPH.

With the single engine configuration the propeller, shaft and rudder are fully protected taking a lot of the worry out of watching for logs while cruising in the Pacific Northwest or hitting the bottom on the ICW.

Standard equipment on the North Pacific 43 includes a Vetus bow thruster giving you the manueverability to make docking in any slip easy.

Twin engines are available for those who like the redundancy of having two engines.

A stern thruster is optional equipment for those who like the manueverability of twins but the economy of a single engine.

Electrical Equipment:
The North Pacific 43 was designed so that accessing any wire or installing new wires or equipment is quick and easy. Good examples are the AC and DC electrical panels located in the pilothouse. They are hinged making access to the back of the panels easy. A 5KW generator located in the engine room, complete with a sound shield, muffler and water/gas separator, silently provides ample power for all of the electrical appliances on board while leaving those inside and out undisturbed. When generator power is unwanted a 3000 W inverter/battery charger can provide enough AC power to run most of the 110V electrical equipment including microwaves, coffee makes, and toaster ovens. The high output inverter/charger means that the 4, 12V, 200 amp hour batteries are charged at the optimum rate while the generator is running or the boat is plugged into shore power. For those who require more electrical power for longer trips, extra optional batteries can be factory installed. A 105 amp alternator is standard.

Engine Room:
The engine room on the North Pacific 43’ is easily accessed through 6 removable floor hatches on the salon floor allowing quick access to the engine room without lifting a large section of the floor. The room is well-lit and spacious, making working around all sides of the engine(s) easy. Also located in the engine room is the generator, two 200-gallon fiberglass fuel tanks (two 200 gallon tanks with twin engines), 10 gallon water heater, two 200 gallon fiberglass water tanks (two 100 gallon tanks with twins) and fresh water pump.

A large engine room with 6 access hatches makes working around all sides of the engines easy. Above are the optional 220 hp Cummins.

The yacht's wiring is beautifully done with numbering and schematic diagrams.

Hinged electrical pannels make accessing breakers and wires easy.

Access hatches throughout the yacht means that you can get to any piece of equipment, wire, pump or pipe simply by opening a hatch.

An 1100 lbs capacity stainless steel Vetus Windlass provides more than adequate lifting power.

Vetus is just one of the many brand names we use. See FAQ 1 for more info.
