All of the equipment on board is brand name equipment with the exception of light fixtures etc.

Accessibility:
We designed the North Pacific 43 based on our 25 years of boating experience and the learned knowledge that all equipment must be accessible. Throughout the yacht this is evident because of the many, easy to get at, hatches. Where there is equipment that must be accessed there is a hatch or removeable panel.

Electronics:
Navigational electronics are not included in the base price of North Pacific Yachts. However, we will install Raymarine electronics at the factory.

Mechanical Equipment:
The North Pacific 39 is powered by a single 230 hp QSB Cummins diesel. Larger engines for higher top end speeds are available. The 230 hp Cummins diesel is a good choice, pushing the yacht along at up to 10 knots with a 9.5 kts cruise speed. At 7 kts the NP39 burns approximately 2 GPH, at 8kts approximately 3.3 GPH and at 9 kts approximately 6.5 GPH

With the single engine configuration the propeller, shaft and rudder are fully protected taking a lot of the worry out of watching for logs while cruising in the Pacific Northwest or hitting the bottom on the ICW.

Standard equipment on the North Pacific 39 includes a Vetus 75KGF bow thruster giving you the maneuverability to make docking in any slip easy.

Twin engines are available for those who like the redundancy of having two engines.

A stern thruster is optional equipment for those who like the maneuverability of twins but the economy of a single engine.

Electrical Equipment:
The North Pacific 39 was designed so that accessing any wire or installing new wires or equipment is quick and easy. Good examples are the AC and DC electrical panels located in the pilothouse. They are hinged making access to the back of the panels easy. A 5KW generator located in the engine room, complete with a sound shield, muffler and water/gas separator, silently provides ample power for all of the electrical appliances on board while leaving those inside and out undisturbed. When generator power is unwanted a 3000 W inverter/battery charger can provide enough AC power to run most of the 110V electrical equipment including microwaves, coffee makes, and toaster ovens. The high output inverter/charger means that the 4, 12V, 200 amp hour batteries are charged at the optimum rate while the generator is running or the boat is plugged into shore power. For those who require more electrical power for longer trips, extra optional batteries can be factory installed. A 160 amp alternator is standard.

Engine Room:
The engine room on the North Pacific 39 is easily accessed through 3 removable floor hatches on the pilothouse floor allowing quick access to the engine room without lifting a large section of the floor. There is also very convenient access to the engine room by lifting the hinged steps from the salon to the pilothouse. The room is well-lit and spacious, making working around all sides of the engine(s) easy. Also located in the engine room is the generator, 11 gal water heater, all 5 batteries, the inverter/charger, dual Racor fuel filters and the oil change system. There is also easy access to the dripless PYI shaft seal under the salon floor.

Fuel and Water:
The NP39 is equipped with two, 150 GAL fuel tanks and one 200 GAL water tank. The tanks are made from separate fiberglass molds and are then placed in the hull. Each tank is baffled and has inspection ports on the top. Vinylester resins are used in the fuel tanks so using bio-diesel is not a concern and in the water tanks to prevent blistering. Between the two fuel tanks is a huge amount of storage space and also the dripless shaft seal. This area can be accessed by lifting a hatch on the salon floor.

Access hatches throughout the yacht means that you can get to any piece of equipment, wire, pump or pipe simply by opening a hatch. Above is the hatch on the salon floor that allows access to the fuel and water tanks as well as the dripless shaft seal. It is also an excellent storage area.

A large engine room with 3 access hatches on the pilothouse floor and stairs that lift for an access from the salon makes working around all sides of the engines easy. The engineroom has impressive head room as well. Also, note the neat wiring job and labels.

Above: The batteries are in the engineroom. There are 3, 200 AH house batteries, 1, 200 AH engine starter and one generator starter

On the aft bulkheat are the dual Racor fuel filters and fuel management valves.

Both the AC and DC electrical pannels are hinged. All wiring at the electrical panel and all bus bars are numbered and color coded so its is easy to track.
The wiring is all tinned.

Note the excellent headroom.

The secondary engineroom access is shown above.
